Before you start
In order to switch gas and electricity online with SuperSwitcher, you need the following information:
- Your postcode
- The name(s) of your current gas and electricity supplier(s) and tariff(s)
Ideally, you should have your latest gas and electricity bill to hand, so that you have a precise idea of what you are currently spending, or how much gas and electricity you are using. However, don’t worry if you don’t have a recent bill handy – with just a few simple questions, we can work out your usage for you, using detailed national consumption data.

You are nearly done! Just tell us how you would like to settle your bills, and if you have any tariff preferences, for example for green gas and electricity.
Step 4: we show you how much you can save
Based on your personal preferences, we give you an impartial and accurate overview of the gas and electricity tariffs you can switch to, and the savings each of them offers.

Step 5: help us to help you switch
We process your application for your new tariff, which includes noting a few details such as your name and address, and how you want to pay in future. This takes less than five minutes. You can then check everything is in order, and confirm your switch.
We then let your new supplier know. Your new supplier sorts everything out with your old supplier. Our partners, EnergyHelpline, also send you a confirmation email with all your details, and a contact number in case you have any questions.
